Analyzing social networks—from macroscopic topology to microscopic interactions

Abstract：The past decade has witnessed the revitalization of social network research. This talk will present my recent and ongoing studies on social networks in various domains. Analyzing real-world social network data, my research not only examined the topology of online social networks, but also leveraged the content of individual users’ interactions.  Specific topics include user recommendation, influential user identification, roles discovery, community engagement, and multi-relational network analysis.赵慷目前任美国爱荷华大学管理科学系助理教授 (tenure-track)，他毕业于宾夕法尼亚州立大学并获得信息科学技术专业博士学位。曾任 2013 INFORMS 年会人工智能方向 Cluster Chair，并多次为 Information Systems Research, Management Science, ACM/IEEE Transactions 等学术期刊审稿。目前研究方向为社会计算，社交网络和社交媒体的分析和数据挖掘，以及基于智能体的仿真。已在各类学术期刊上发表论文十余篇，并且研究成果曾被 BBC，法新社，福布斯等全球 20 余个国家的媒体报道。
