In this talk, Mr. Shimamoto will speak about the new trend of IT industry. He will analyze the trend of “from owning to using”. He will stress the challenges facing the industry and NRI, explain the structure changes of future IT industry and the enabling technology including the cloud computing.Mr. Shimamoto will also talk about the type of career that future IT industry has in new cloud age. He will describe the type of talent that industry is looking for, and the new abilities that employees should develop.

Mr. Tadashi Shimamoto is the CEO&COO of Nomura Research Institute, Ltd (NRI). NRI is a global company that focuses on consultant services, financial IT solutions, IT infrastructure services etc. NRI has 5700+ employees in locations around the world. The revenue is over 4 billion US dollars. The vision of the company is “Dream up the future”.Mr. Tadashi Shimamoto joined NRI in 1976, first as a technical engineer and then as manager of information technology division in 2001. He also served various key management positions from 2001 to 2009. In 2010, he served as CEO of Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. Mr. Tadashi Shimamoto was born in 1954, he got Bachelor degree in Engineering from Kyoto University. Due to his contribution to IT industry, he is awarded as elite alumni of Kyoto University.
